Empowering women's health for all stages of life with acupuncture, prescribed herbs and supplements, and lifestyle enhancements.

  • Congratulations on taking the first step

With this medicine, we don't rely on costly lab tests. Instead, I use the insights you share during your initial intake, combined with traditional methods like pulse diagnosis and tongue observation, to accurately assess and treat your condition. Your diagnosis is based on your unique symptoms, constitution, and lifestyle, which is the true magic of this medicine—no one-size-fits-all treatment protocols here.

Some conditions respond best to acupuncture, others to herbal medicine, and many benefit from a combination of both. But for all conditions, consistency is key. You likely won’t achieve full relief in just one session or with a single bottle of herbs.

I’m fully dedicated to your long-term success. My goal is to help you achieve results that last by offering the best possible treatment, combining time, research, and individualized care.

  • What to Expect

Initial Consultation - We’ll start with a comprehensive conversation about your health history, lifestyle, and current concerns. This helps us get a full picture of your needs and how acupuncture can support your healing process.

Personalized Treatment Plan -After your first visit, I will develop a treatment plan that addresses your unique health goals.  This plan will include the timeline of active treatment, frequency, and type of treatments if herbs or supplements should be added, and the total cost for you.  I have packages and payment plans to fit every budget.

The Treatment - You’ll lie comfortably on a treatment table while fine, sterile needles are gently inserted at specific points on your body. Most patients find the process relaxing. The needles will remain for about 20-30 minutes while you rest.

Session Length - Expect your first appointment to last 60-90 minutes, including the consultation and treatment. Follow-up sessions are typically shorter, around 45 minutes.

What to Wear - Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to areas like your arms, legs, and back. If needed, we can provide a gown for your treatment.

What to Eat Before - It’s best to have a light meal 1-2 hours before your appointment. Avoid coming in hungry or overly full to ensure your body is relaxed and balanced for the session.

What You May Feel - You may feel a dull ache, tingling, or warmth around the needles—this is your body’s energy responding. Some people feel deeply relaxed or even fall asleep during the session.

After the Treatment - Afterward, many patients report feeling calm, refreshed, or energized. You may experience immediate relief, but acupuncture is most effective with consistent sessions, especially early on.

What to Do for the Rest of Your Day - After your session, it’s a great idea to stay hydrated and avoid strenuous activities. Light movement, relaxation, and nourishing meals will support your body’s healing process.

  • Frequently Asked Questions:

How Do You Diagnose Without Lab Tests?
Chinese Medicine diagnoses are based on detailed consultations, tongue and pulse diagnosis, and your symptoms. By observing your tongue and feeling your pulse, I can gather information about your body’s internal state. This allows me to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs without relying on expensive lab tests.

    How Much Does Treatment Cost?
Your treatment cost will depend on the therapies recommended for your condition. After your initial consultation, I will provide a full cost breakdown in your personalized treatment plan, including all available payment options. A la carte pricing is always available on the scheduling site.

Do You Offer Packages or Payment Plans?
Yes, I offer packages and payment plans to fit every budget. This helps make treatments more accessible and ensures you can commit to the care you need for long-term health improvements.

Why Aren’t You In-Network with Insurance?
I am not in-network with any insurance providers because insurance can limit the amount and type of care I can offer. However, I do accept HSA/FSA payments and can provide a superbill if you would like to seek reimbursement from your insurance for out-of-network services.

What Is Tongue and Pulse Diagnosis?
In Chinese Medicine, your tongue and pulse provide important clues about your overall health. The tongue's color, shape, and coating offer insights into your internal organ systems, while pulse diagnosis helps assess the flow of energy in the body. This non-invasive diagnostic approach helps me create an effective, individualized treatment plan for you.

How Often Will I Need to Come for Treatment?
Your treatment frequency will depend on the condition being treated and how your body responds. After your first visit, I’ll recommend a treatment schedule tailored to your needs, with the option to adjust as we monitor your progress.

    Are Herbal Medicines Safe?
Yes, when prescribed by a trained professional, Chinese herbal medicine is very safe. I only work with suppliers who follow rigorous Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FDA guidelines. Your herbal prescription is customized based on your symptoms and medical history to ensure both safety and effectiveness.
